The L'Esprit
Rehabilitation Centres were developed to provide high quality
patient care in the fields of orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Each centre is staffed with physiotherapists who are -- or aspire
to become -- leaders in the physiotherapy profession. Since its
inception in 1986 l'Esprit has had very strong links to McGill
University's School of Physical & Occupational Therapy, and to
the hospitals within the McGill network of teaching facilities.
The founders of l'Esprit, Mary-Ann Dalzell (BSc, MSc.) and Monica
Kosiuk (BSc., MA) both graduated from McGill's School of Physical
& Occupational Therapy, and have been an active part of the department's
teaching faculty since the 1982 and 1990 respectively.
The following
is a list of the major events in the history of the L'Esprit Rehabilitation
Centres.

the greater Montreal medical community, our centres will continue
to set the standard for rehabilitation medicine in Quebec and
across Canada.
