Detox Services:

Buprenorphine Detox:

Buprenorphine (brand name Subutex, among others) is an opioid medication used to treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine can prevent or significantly reduce withdrawal symptoms, making it easier to get and stay off opioids. Sometimes used alongside naloxone, dosage depends on the severity of each case. Many people stay on buprenorphine long-term, although some gradually reduce the dosage to come off it. When the patient leaves the treatment, he/she will no longer be using Suboxone.

Level of Care:

Medically Assisted Detox:

This is the process of removing the drug of abuse and alcohol from the body in a professional and safe way. This process is done under the care of the Medical Doctor and 24/7 nursing staff at Neworld Detox. The withdrawal symptoms and vitals are monitored to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible.

24 Hour Clinical Care:

Nursing staff are at Neworld Detox facility 24/7 to ensure timely assessment of withdrawal symptoms. All withdrawal symptoms are carefully assessed by the Medical Director and nursing staff to administer medications as per the Medical Director's orders. The result is a smooth withdrawal experience with very minimal suffering.

Inpatient:

Residential stay and full board service during the detox process. Meals are available 24/7. A cosy home setting that delivers a serene environment to help pass the detox process calmly and comfortably. Staff at Neworld are trained for the maximum satisfaction of clients while in detox.

Intervention Services:

Intervention Services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Individualized Treatment:

Certain drug and alcohol rehab centers have standard treatment regimes they expect all patients to follow. Others offer individualized treatment, meaning they tailor treatment to a person's specific background and needs. For example, a rehab facility may adjust a treatment program to take into account the type of drug or addiction from which the person suffers, their age, medical condition(s), religious beliefs, or lifestyle.

Aftercare Support:

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatment Focus:

Substance Abuse:

Focuses on helping clients detox from their alcohol or drug abuse in a safe professional modality which alleviates most of the suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Medical care ensures clients have the appropriate medication for the withdrawal symptom to pass through the detox process smoothly and safely.

Opiate Addiction:

Neworld Detox has a special withdrawal management program for clients on all types of opiates. This includes percocet, oxys and heroin. Neworld Detox has a special program to get clients off methadone if this is their choice. Neworld Detox Medical Director tailors a methadone abstinence program for each client individually.

Alcoholism:

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Therapy Programs:

Recreational Therapy:

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Individual Therapy:

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition Therapy:

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.
